Back to Blog

So now the summer is over, the lazy days I spent are now just memories in the haze. Today as I was walking home I was thinking about how I would like a classroom blog. Not necessarily one where I talk about useful teaching things (since I'm not sure I will have many useful things to say), but rather about the funny/quirky/outlandish/ridiculous things that happen in the classroom in order to celebrate the many things that remain untold about what happens behind the closed doors.

As I am now only in my practicum stage I am only in the classroom about once a week so updates may seem slim but I will try my best. I will begin with last week. Right now my experience is limited to only a few classes as I am only there once a week from about 7:30am to 12:00pm. Because of this I am only around for the first 4 periods of the day. Last week as I was leaving two of the girls in the 5th hour class shouted after me: "We think you're cool!" I was fairly shocked as I know they did not know who I was, I suspected that either they were not talking to me or perhaps they were brown-nosing just a bit. I soon discovered that they were talking to me, even if they were brown-nosing, it kind of made my day. :)
